Import Source Files

If any special characters (such as space, minus extra) are present in ladder name or variable name of source PLC files, it has to be replaced with "_" or any valid value. Because ControlEdge Builder cannot support these special characters.

Import PLC5 Files

The control logic of the customer's source system database is made up of ladder diagrams. These files are necessary to analyze the source PLC system and provide the ControlEdge CPM PLC equivalent control logic.

If you have completed a site survey, you are most likely to have generated the source PLC system’s database files. If not, see Extracting Source System Files and generate them.

To import the PLC files follow this step:

Click and select the source PLC system files or drag and drop the files into the dotted rectangle area.

A green check mark appears against each file after it’s successfully imported.

Status completion is shown as 15%.

Import SLC 500 Files
