Generate pre-migration reports

After pre-migration is completed, you can generate pre-migration reports. The tool can generate three pre-migration reports.

These reports enable you to get a clear picture about existing and new I/O allocation, channel mapping and PID communication.

The three reports are:

  • Existing and New I/O Allocation

    • It provides details on various channel categories such as Channel Number, Rack Number, Slot Number, I/O Module Type, I/O Module Description and Number of I/O Channels required  while migrating. The chassis number is mapped to rack number.

  • Channel Mapping

    • It provide details on various channel categories such as Channel Number, Type, IO Channel Type, Description, Sensor Type.

  • PID Communication

    • Provides an outline on the PID Block Configuration for PLC5 or SLC 500 equivalent to ControlEdge PLC CPM. It provides details on the number of PID Blocks required while migrating.

    Follow these steps to generate the Pre-Migration report:

    1. Select any one of the checkboxes you desire under Pre-Migration Reports and click Generate.Or,Check in the option Select All and click Generate to generate reports of all the  categories at once.

      Or,

      Check in the option Select All and click Generate to generate reports of all the  categories at once.

      2. The report is generated and displayed in a new browser window.

    2. You have typical controls to navigate, zoom in/out, save and print the report.

    3. You can also click and select to save the report in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel or PDF formats.
